Japanese food are very rich in variety. Everytime I try one new dish, there is always some new ingredients that I cannot recognize. Even in several very popular japanese dishes such as
sushi, tempura, udon, the variety is astonishing! Based on several articles, there are main kind of Japanese food.
- Sushi : raw fish, rice,
- sashimi : fresh raw seafood with soy sauce
- Sukiyaki : paper-thin slices of beef (or sometimes chicken), vegetables, and cubes of tofu cooked in broth
- Gohan : boiled / steamed rice
